Cassi Schredder
Co-founder and Editor
Cassi Schredder is a co-founder and editor with Texas Bullpen. She previously reported on the Texas Legislature for The Texas Tribune and most recently served as press secretary to Texas House Speaker Dade Phelan. A proud Texas native, Cassi is a graduate of The University of Texas at Austin’s School of Journalism.
Brad Johnson
Co-founder and Reporter
Brad Johnson is a co-founder and reporter with Texas Bullpen. He has covered Texas politics and the state legislature since 2019, previously with The Texan. Brad, a graduate of the University of Cincinnati, is a native Ohioan.
Jonathan Richie
Co-founder and Reporter
Born in East Texas, Jonathan Richie is a co-founder and reporter with Texas Bullpen. Having previously covered Texas politics for state and national outlets, he most recently served as press secretary and deputy director of communications at the Texas Attorney General's Office. Jonathan earned a bachelor's degree in Classics from Houston Christian University and a Master's degree in History from Liberty.
